Ride (SBAR) - a success say local Greens
The Second Sydney Body
Art Ride (SBAR) was successfully held last Sunday.
Randwick
City Greens Deputy Mayor Murray Matson caught up with the body
painted bike riders when they finished at South Maroubra Beach.
He
commented on Sunday,
It was good to see that more than 200
Sydney siders are still prepared to have a good laugh while making a
spectacle of themselves to raise money to fight childhood cancer. I
salute them.
The Randwick green Councillors voted through
support for the inaugural ride last year against strong opposition
from Labor Councillors. The Greens faced less opposition from Labor
for this year's ride,
Cr Matson commended,
The Greens
pretty much had the support of all Councillors for the second ride.
In fact, Labor Councillors Michael Daley and Dominic Sullivan moved
the final resolution to support it.
