OUTCOME: On Green Councillor Murray Matson’s motion Council will spend $12,000 to prepare and exhibit a draft “Telecommunications and Radiocommunication facilities” DCP.

It will help equip Council to better respond to proposals to build “high impact” mobile phone towers. “Low Impact” towers cannot be covered in the DCP as they are exempt from Council planning controls under the Commonwealth’s powers.
