OUTCOME: Greens Councillor Murray Matson followed up a Total Environment Centre suggestion to successfully move that we call on the NSW Government to require manufacturers to collect and recycle waste computers as enabled under the WARR Act.

A report will brought to a future meeting looking at whether Council can initiate a “return to sender” action whereby an account for the cost and/or responsibility for computer gear collected by council can given to computer manufacturers either symbolically or in reality.
