Mayor Forced To Continue Fight To Impose Discipline

 home

Randwick's Labor Councillors are continuing to dispute last month's expulsion of party leader Dominic Sullivan by Green Mayor Murray Matson.

ALP Cr Michael Daley has submitted a motion insisting that the Mayor "unreservedly apologise" to Cr Sullivan for the expulsion.

Mayor Matson has in turn criticised Cr Daley's motion as "provocative" in that it,

"...intrudes into what is now essentially an issue to be sorted out between myself and Cr Sullivan. Cr Daley is merely making it more difficult for myself and Cr Sullivan to resolve the matter. I am hoping that he will see reason and withdraw his provocative motion."

The motion will go to next Tuesday night's Council meeting.
