Randwick
City Greens to make suggestions on how to share the Mayoralty
The Randwick-Botany Greens have held discussions on the
Randwick City Council mayoralty question over the weekend.
Green Councillors will now suggest to other
Councillors that the Liberals be supported for two years in the position and
that the other two years be shared by the Greens and Labor if they agree to
support the idea.
The Greens are basing this proposal on the
proportional vote received by each of the three parties in the Council
elections.
In Randwick the Liberals won 31.55%, Labor 27.18% and
the Greens 24.1%.
